Beaches can be one of the most romantic settings for a wedding. Many girls (and boys) dream of a wedding at an exotic location such as a beach or a mountaintop. And what better season than the summer to hold your wedding outdoors in such exotic locations. Beach wedding parties could be among the most enjoyable and memorable. Imagine the cool moist breeze blowing across your face and caressing your hair, the roar of the waves, the splashing water droplets and the sand castles and dunes, and you have an idea of how exciting and memorable it could be.

A beach themed wedding requires its own planning to make it really good. Among the things that you will need to bestow a lot of attention are your party favors. You should select your party favors to suit the theme of the beach wedding.

Party favors as a custom date back several centuries. In our present society, these have blossomed into a beautiful expression of appreciation for the presence of our guests. People select wedding favors that reflect their culture. Wedding party favors also make a personal style statement. To make the entire event harmonious it is important that the favors are in sync with the theme that you have chosen. It should also be something that can be preserved over the years and related to with pride and joy. The selection of party favors is thus a very important part of your planning for the wedding.

What are the possibilities for beach wedding party favors that will incorporate all the above considerations?

One of the first things that come to mind when we talk of beaches is a seashell. Objects made of seashells are among the obvious choices. A seashell bookmark is something that your book loving guests are sure to appreciate and keep with them for a long time. You could attach these to the placeholders or keep them in a tray for the guests to pick up. Seashell wine bottle stoppers form another good item that is made of seashells, blend with the theme and will be useful to your guests.

Talking of seashells, you could also consider them, in their own right, as party favors. You could select attractively colored and shaped seashells and pack a few of them in small bags, making each of them a gift by itself. There are stores that can give you attractively packed seashells that you can use right away.

Starfish tea light candles can make for an attractive decoration that fits into your theme as well as form a unique gift item. You could combine these two ideas, and decorate the tables with these and also give them away as gifts, so that your guests get what they see!

Another thing that you could consider is a bag of artificial sea creatures. It could be a charming gift that would add to the fun, accentuate your beach theme and is sure to be maintained as a memento. Crafted pieces that contain other sea creatures, and are utilitarian, can also be considered. For example, a dolphin wine stopper would provide good utility value and be an attractive sea based theme for the gift, involving one of the most loved and talked about sea creatures. .

Cookies and mint tins that blend with the beach theme are other things that can be considered. For example, a carefully designed tin that has beach scenery, or pictures of items found along beaches, could make for a very useful and artistic item.

There are many other themes and items that you can consider. You can use your imagination and come up with something unique yourself. We hope that the few examples that we have given above will give you a lot more fresh ideas to help you in this.

The steady, ongoing work produced from wedding photography generates the majority of new clients for most photography studios and freelance photographers. A wedding photographer will need to comfortable with the following activities & skills:
Candid shots (photojournalistic) and posed shots
Making slides, prints, and slideshows (digital or otherwise)
Traditional albums
Taking shots in the outdoors at a party, beach, or rustic locale
Snapping shots indoors at a temple or church
In the late 1860’s in America, couples started hiring photographers and posing at the wedding. The art form of photography for the wedding was created by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1826. However, the idea of live action shots and of capturing the event itself came up after the Second World War. Often, the photographers would just show up inconspicuously at a wedding, snap the photos, and venture to sell them later on to the family. This forced studios to start covering the events, lest they be booted out by freelance photographers.
After the wedding is over, a small time lapse is incurred, and, thereafter the photographer shows “proofs” to the couple. The proofs can be in the form of prints, thumbnail galleries, or all of the images on CD-ROM. They may also make separate galleries or slideshows, and they’re sometimes themed.
Photographers may sell additional prints to the couple through a web site with thumbnail galleries and an e-commerce back-end, often in conjunction with a vendor or broker website that charges a commission for each print purchase.
The common types of wedding photography include the photojournalistic realism and spontaneous photographer behavior of some, the classic or traditional posed method, and a hybrid of the two called fashion-based wedding photography.
In big cities, there are often studios devoted to wedding photography because photography for the wedding is such a mammoth market in metropolitan areas. People are always moving in and out and getting married. Take a look at a portfolio of the photographer’s former work for assurance.
The Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), and, especially, the Wedding Photojournalists Association (WPA) offer training, professional support, and tips to member photographers.

One option is to start your search for the perfect dress close to home. Maybe your mother, grandmother, aunt or a special friend has her own lovely dress stored carefully away, waiting for another bride to wear. If you choose this option, examine the dress carefully for insect damage, discoloration, weak seams, missing buttons and stains. Consult a trusted dry cleaner to discover if spots or stains can be removed. If the dress’s seams are very narrow, alterations might be difficult. Air the dress away from the sun to rid it of cedar or mothball scents. Have it professionally cleaned.
As sentimental as this option is, most brides want a new dress. If you’re in this category, begin by doing a little window-shopping. Check out the latest bridal magazines for trends and styles. Keep a folder or envelope containing pictures of the dresses you like. This will be helpful when you actually visit a retailer to begin trying dresses on.
Be sure to attend bridal and fashion shows. You’ll not only get a good overview of what’s available, but you’ll pick up new ideas and get information on bridal shops in your area. Then check out the shops. Get recommendations from married friends and call the Better Business Bureau. And pay attention! You should be treated like a queen when you enter a bridal shop. According to one shop owner, the store’s first priority should be to make you “feel personally special from the minute you walk in the door.”
Once on your quest for the perfect gown, choose one trusted person who knows your style to take with you. The more people you bring along, the more opinions you’ll have to sift through. Your trusted person should care enough about you to tell the absolute truth about how a dress looks on you.
Your trust should extend to the bridal shop clerk, too. Many of these people have spent years helping brides find the right dress. They know which styles will flatter which figure types. Trust them, and don’t be afraid to be adventurous. If a clerk suggests a style different from what you had in mind, try it on anyway! You may be surprised at how other styles flatter your figure.
Sometimes the retail dress route just doesn’t fit. A bride who is especially tall or short, tiny or voluptuous, rich or poor can find the custom-made dress an answer to a prayer. Locate a reputable bridal seamstress in your area by word of mouth, through a high-quality fabric or sewing store, or through a local college, university or theater.
Ask to see samples of the seamstress’s work, both in photos and in person. Check for finished seams, fit (in photos of brides) and quality of materials. Ask for an estimate in writing, checking to see if the seamstress or the bride supplies the materials and notions for the dress. Is a veil included in the price? Call past clients to check how satisfied they were with their dresses.
Fitting Your Wedding Gown
You may have the most beautiful dress in the world, but if it doesn’t fit, ultimately you’ll be unhappy with your choice. A bride goes through at least two fittings, with a final try-on a few days before the wedding. Alterations to a purchased gown are inevitable. Don’t be offended by the “size” your fitter ends up assigning you. Every gown manufacturer uses a fit model and bases all their gowns on this woman’s measurements, graduating them up or down for various sizes.
Your measurements will be compared to the manufacturer’s size charts. Since wedding gowns have very narrow seams, there is no room to let it out to a larger size. Therefore the fitter will order the gown that fits your largest measurement best.
During your two or more fittings, the gown will be altered to fit your smaller measurements. The ultimate fit of the gown depends on the accuracy of the fitter’s measurements, so be sure you bring the undergarments and shoes you plan to wear with your dress.
If your gown is custom-made, additional fittings will most likely be required. Many bridal seamstresses create an initial gown out of muslin or some other inexpensive material. This “model” garment is fitted to your figure, taken apart and used as the actual pattern for the dress itself. The dress will most likely be basted together, fitted again, sewn and fitted a last time in the final weeks before the wedding.
The Cost of It All…
To save money, many brides have turned to discount bridal suppliers. Although the initial price of the gown may seem like a bargain, the cost of alterations could make a significant dent in those savings. “Those brides who think they can order a gown through a discount operation and get it tailored at a local dress shop are in for an unpleasant surprise,” says one bridal shop owner. “Altering today’s wedding gowns is very, very specialized work. It takes years of experience.” And it can be expensive. The cost of alterations varies greatly, depending on the dress’s fit, age, fabric, lace and beadwork.
Also keep in mind that when a gown is ordered through a discount bridal supplier, there is often no recourse if a problem arises. Working with a reputable retailer that has years of experience in the industry and a solid relationship with manufacturers assures that you will receive the right dress, on time, fitting beautifully.
Typically, when a bride orders her gown from a retail store, she can expect to put down fifty percent of its retail price. The same is true for a custom-made dress. Custom-made dresses usually start at about $350 and can top out at $1000 or more. Veils average $150 to $300.
Completing the Ensemble
Once the perfect dress is found, there is only one way to be sure it will look the best it can and the foundation is the beginning. Finding the proper bra, slip, hosiery, etc., is necessary to create the perfect look. Many gowns require special undergarments. Low-line, backless bras and bustiers are made to provide the proper support without showing when and where they shouldn’t. Luckily there are professionals who can help in choosing which undergarments will work the best.
Specialty lingerie shops have the staff who will not only help brides, maids and mothers find the proper undergarment; they will also help them find the perfect fit. Although many women shy away from specialty shops, thinking the price will be much higher, they usually find that the prices are comparable and the service is indispensable. While at the lingerie shop a bride may also find a delicate negligee perfect for the wedding night!
Not only do brides have to deal with what to wear under their gown, some need to be concerned with what to wear over it as well. Weddings take place in all seasons, and in many areas, it can be cold! Many dresses of today are strapless or sleeveless challenging the weather in the cooler seasons of fall, winter and spring. Brides, their attendants and mother of the bride and groom often do not own the appropriate cape, coat or wrap to wear on such a formal occasion. That’s where businesses that rent capes and other outerwear come in handy.
Many styles of velvet, satin, sheer organza or faux fur garments are available to complement any gown.
Post-Wedding Gown Care
After the wedding, the last thing on your mind will be getting your gown cleaned. But taking the time to preserve your gown as soon as possible will ensure its pristine condition. If you can’t see to it immediately, ask a bridesmaid or relative to do it for you.
Before taking the gown to the dry cleaner, check it carefully for stains. If possible, note the type and location of each stain. This will help your dry cleaner eradicate them more easily.
To box or not to box? No storage system is completely safe or will completely prevent age discoloration of fabric. A professionally boxed gown is sealed in an airtight picture-window box in acid-free tissue, preserved for future generations. If you decide not to box your dress, store it flat to prevent fabric stress from a hanger. Stuff the sleeves and bodice with acid-free tissue, and line the skirt with the same tissue. Wrap the dress carefully in unbleached cotton or linen. Boxed or unboxed, make sure your freshly cleaned dress is in a dark, dry place.
Apparel for Moms
Mothers have a vital role to play in the wedding of their children. So it’s important to look good alongside the wedding party. This means choosing a dress that is simple, elegant and in a flattering color that blends well with the bridesmaids’ dresses.
Flower girls and Miniature Brides
Choices for flower girl dresses or miniature bride ensembles range from duplicates of the bridal gown or bridesmaid dresses to a variety of adorable outfits sure to make any little attendant look like an angel. Bridal shops and specialty children’s’ boutiques are the perfect place to find an assortment of choices. Experts in these shops can also help to determine the proper size to choose. Since children grow at staggering rates, a dress that fits perfect today may be too small six months later. These experts also suggest that if a specific gown is desired it should be ordered as soon as possible since styles may change and may not be available for order at a later date.

Five wedding ring metals make up the usual selection; gold, white gold, platinum, titanium, and silver. Each specific type has its pluses and minuses.

There’s some important considerations in choosing a ring, from choosing the metals, karat, and color, to choosing a look that reflects your personality and budget. The following info will help you make the right decision in choosing a wedding ring.

The most common type of wedding band is gold. Gold is a soft precious metal that is classified by color and karats. Your options are yellow gold, white cold, and rose gold. The typical karats for gold rings are 14 and 18. Meaning a14 karat gold ring has 58 percent gold and 41 percent alloys like copper and zinc. 18 karat gold jewelry consists of 75 percent gold and 20 percent other metals. 24 karat gold rings are containing 100 percent pure gold. 24 karat gold is not the best for making rings. This is because the more gold in the ring, the softer the ring ends up. The softer the ring turns out to be, the less durable the ring and the the shorter it will last. 14 and 18 karat gold will not tarnish, but there are those who are allergic to gold, so picking a gold band may not be a choice. 14k yellow or gold bands retail from 60 to 5,000 dollars. 18k yellow or white gold wedding bands could cost you 85 to 5,000 dollars.

Platinum is a beautiful white precious metal that will never fade. It is a quite dense, solid precious metal that is the most durable of the precious metals, still it is too soft for bands. Despite the fact that platinum is a 95 percent pure white metal, ruthenium and iridium must be included for durability. Platinum wedding rings often feel heavier on the finger, but are very lasting and a great choice for both bride’s and groom’s wedding rings. Platinum is also hypo-allergenic. Platinum rings retail from 350 to 5,000 dollars.

Titanium is the most durable metal known to man, but it is not as common in ring making. This metal is hypo-allergenic and may be inlaid with gold, silver, or platinum to make exquisite rings that will be treasured for a lifetime. When electricity or heat is applied, Titanium oxidizes which then helps the metal to seem colored. Normal colors are purple, blue, and iridescent. Titanium rings can not be soldered, which means resizing becomes impossible. It is also one of the harder metals to cut through should the ring need to be extricated due to an emergency. Titanium wedding rings will cost from 150.00 to 4,000 dollars.

Silver is a remarkably soft white metal that is a victim to tarnishing and discoloration. Silver wedding bands are ideal for people who are on a small budget. However, since the metal is quite soft, silver wedding bands will not last quite as long as gold, platinum, or titanium wedding bands. Silver wedding rings go for 50 to 200 dollars.

The traditional decorative option for wedding reception table centrepieces is generally an arrangement of flowers. But there are far many more elegant, creative and cost-friendly options to be considered. Whether you choose to order professional centerpieces or you want to create your wedding reception table centrepieces yourself, table decorations are an opportunity to customize your wedding theme.
Candles
One cost efficient and elegant centrepiece option is candles. While providing warm lighting to enhance the ambiance of your reception, candles double as both a lighting and decorative element. Using groups of candles in various sizes and shapes wrapped with ribbon to coordinate with your color scheme are all items easy to make. At a local craft store you can purchase paint intended for use on candles. You can use freehand designs or stencils to write words to commemorate your occasion such as Love, Joy and Forever. You can then offer to let your guests take a candle home as a table favor. Be sure to consider flammability issues when adhering anything to the candles. Ensure that you have considered your venue if selecting candles. If you are holding an outdoor wedding reception the weather may impact your candles, whether it is due to wind or heat.
Potted Flowers
Using potted flowers instead of cut flowers for your wedding reception table centrepieces is a way to reuse flowers. You can purchase bulk quantities of popular, colorful flowers and place them in individual small decorative pots. The exposed dirt can be covered with craft moss, marbles, glass rocks or river rocks. Using a colored fabric swatch or even a hemmed cloth napkin to match your pallet, place the flowers in a circle on the fabric so they look like a single arrangement instead of individual pots. These centrepieces can also double as take home gifts for your guests. Be careful to consider the time of year of your wedding to ensure you can use the color pallet you were planning.
Pictures
Your friends and family will be delighted to find you have remembered them with wedding reception table centrepieces made with photos. Using pictures is especially effective if you have a planned table seating and use old or fun photos of the guests seated at that particular table. If you happen to have a table of people that are people who are friends of parents or other family members, then using fun childhood pictures of the bride and groom can be a solution. Instead of using picture frames, try using decorative wire photo holders or magnetic clips.
Fun and a Little Quirky
If traditional isn’t the way you like to express yourself, you will find wedding reception table centrepieces are an excellent and subdued way to show these quirks. Try using live items such as colorful Beta or goldfish in clear glass vases with flower arrangements sitting on top if you want to surprise your guests with something that starts out looking traditional until you get close enough to see the fish. You can also use brightly colored sugar candies, in large, clear glass containers, giving the sweets away at the night’s end as take home sweets for your guests.
Your personality can shine and be shared with wedding reception table centrepieces. Bridesmaids usually love to help with creative and crafty items and you should let them so your time is freed up for other things you wish to do. Whatever centrepiece you choose, keep it in mind about what you plan to do with 25 or more centrepieces once your wedding reception is over, a concept which can help you narrow down your design decision.

Â

With its endless days of sunshine, blue skies, perfect med sunsets its no wonder that Spain is fast becoming a firm favourite as a convenient “ wedding abroad” destination .Â

Few guests and family can not be tempted to a few days or a week in the Spanish sunshine!

Â

Now many of you might think that all that Spain and in particular IBIZA  has to offer is romantic beach weddings , with white sand, white linen clad guests and unspoilt local fish “restaurantes” on the beach hosting relaxed chilled out lobster and chilled white wine feasts………

Well yes this can be found, created, and enjoyed in IBIZA, this is true, but there is also another ambience of wedding that has just begun to evolve. Small, traditional country hotels are now becoming the venue for both a beautiful country wedding ceremony and also the perfect location for an intimate family celebration reception.

With Rural hotels and Casas ranging in size from 6 rooms to larger 30 room venues, you are able to find a venue the perfect size you need, for the size of your own personal wedding party.

What are the advantages of this type of wedding you may ask. Well, where else can you take over a hotel entirely for your own guests if you wish too? ………

Think of the joys of having everybody in the right place at the right time and no body having to worry about travelling or driving to the ceremony or back from the reception after a few drinks .!!

Â

Where else can you be tucked away in the beautiful country side, yet only a short drive or taxi away from a beach, secluded cove, a club for those who wish to live it up after the party or during their stay . ( In Ibiza nothing is more than approx 30 mins away from any where!!)

Â

Where else can you be looked after so warmly as in a family run Hotel such a sCASA NAYA,where they see each wedding and each guest as an extension to their family , enjoying and priding them selves on creating a traditional family wedding for you .!!

Â

And if you want a few days away on your own after the wedding you can always book into a sister Rural hotel many often boasting relaxing spas and honeymoon suites and get the best of both worlds!!

If you want your guests to feel the WOW factor at your wedding, try this IBIZA cocktail of sunshine , intimacy, Spanish tradition and the Latin philosophy of just enjoying life to its full at your IBIZA country wedding .

Christmas provides you with a wealth of options when it comes to wedding favors. Whatever the style of your Christmas wedding, there is a huge range of options available when it comes to choosing wedding favors & decorations.

The sheer variety of these favors allows you to find something to suit every budget & which will suit either the holiday season or a winter wedding theme.

For a lasting keepsake why not give your guests personalized tree baubles as wedding favors which they can hang on their trees year in year out. Such a gift will always remind them of your special day every time they hang it on their Christmas tree.

Edible favors such as sweets foil wrapped chocolates or luxurious truffles are wonderful at this time of year. Choose some cookies in festive shapes such as bells, snowflakes or Christmas trees. Even traditional gingerbread men make delightful wedding favors. Present them in little boxes decorated with holly leaves or small pieces of fir tree.

For something a little different choose bars of white chocolate decorated with snowflakes. They look delightful presented in clear cellophane bags or printed boxes.

Give your guests a sweet treat with candy canes, strawberry & apple candies & candied fruits. These look so pretty in little bags & set the mood for a happy Christmas wedding reception.

Put together little goody bags of sweet treats such as mini chocolate Christmas trees, coated almonds, nuts & cookies. Try to include flavors that representative of the season & in a range of festive colors.

Other festive wedding favors include sachets or miniature bottles of mulled wine, sachets of hot chocolate or miniature bottles of whiskey or brandy.

Alternative ideas include seasonal shaped candles such as snowlakes, snowmen or Christmas trees. Look out for miniature felt stockings which make delightful holders for wedding favors.

If you have a slightly larger budget you could choose Mr & Mrs Claus salt & pepper shakers or snowglobes which can double as paperweights.

Another idea for presenting your wedding favors is with Christmas crackers. You can buy kits to make up your own, all you need to do is insert your favor gift & thank you note inside.

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year so try to make your wedding favors convey the festive spirit!

Choose the type of wedding you want carefully as it
will be a day you will remember forever. The day you and your love will tie a bond between you that will last forever and you will want it to be special beyond belief! What day am I talking about? Your wedding day; it is the day that little girls dream of and mothers sigh when hearing the news of.

Now that the event is in the planning stages are you going to have it inside a lavishing church? How about on the beach, as the sun sets over the lapping waves of the ocean?

Lapping waves sound so romantic don’t they? Sunsets, what could be better?

Here are some simple things to think about when choosing your wedding location and whether or not those lapping waves could be a blissful romantic soul soother or a nightmare in the making.

First, think about choosing the site of your ceremony. The beauty of the ocean or a river path needs little embellishment. When planning an outdoor wedding, let the location speak for it’s self. And remember that Mother Nature speaks loudly so make sure an outdoor wedding is exactly what you want by using these questions in your decision-making lists.

THE PLACE:
•	Is the place you are looking at free of other events on the date you want?
•	Are all permits and papers easy to access, do you need special permissions for large parties?
•	Will the space where the chairs will be placed in loose sinking sand or is the beach full of storm debris?
•	Do you have a long flowing gown in mind? Would a church floor be better then a lawn, for the dry-cleaning bill afterward?
•	Does my area have storms in the month I want my wedding? If so, should I have the ceremony inside or rent a tent?
•	Does both families agree on style like casual, religious or traditional wedding?
•	If you have a particularly long ceremony think about if you want guests to be prepared to wait to use the restroom (if on a beach, or be prepared to rent extra facilities.

Once you have an idea of the area you want your wedding to be performed in you can add the type of building you want it to be in, by using this list of things to think about.

TYPE OF TENT OR BUILDING:
•	Will it be a frame tent or a tent with center poles and ropes on the outside to secure it? Will the area hold tent stakes?
•	Should you rent a church or community center because a large portion of your family are elderly and cannot walk well on sand or winding paths?
•	Does your local park have the perfect place like a gazebo or arbor free of charge to local residents?
•	Open air means wind, bugs, and birds.

You now have some basic ideas about the place of your special ceremony and type of building, tent or open area you may enjoy. You might want to think about how large a wedding party that space can hold.
HOW MUCH SPACE YOU NEED:

•	The number of people attending the wedding determines size of your area.
•	Style of wedding. Will it be a formal or casual style?
•	Size of the band or do you have a recording for processional music?
•	Size and shape of chairs or bench for setting guests and number of aisles required.

You might have a difficult time hauling a tent or canopy with aisle runner, kneeling benches, candelabras, a wedding arch and other accessories to a small-secluded beach or riverside. If this were a concern for you it would be better to hire a professional rental company that can help you coordinate all the extra details that must be imported for an outdoor event.

An outdoor wedding can be the most wondrous of occasions and hold a place in your heart and memory forever. With a little forethought and planning your day can go off without any hitches and I hope these hints about what to think about when planning your event helps you on the way.

My last suggestion would be to talk to your local wedding specialists before jumping in feet first.
Good Luck and congratulations on your up coming wedding and God Bless.

QUOTE “Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler; solitude will not be solitude, poverty will not be poverty, nor weakness weakness.”

While most of the traditional traditions in weddings are performed during the wedding ceremony, the wedding reception too has its own share of the action. It is during the reception that the wedding cake is cut. But even before you get down to cutting the cake, you have to pay careful attention to displaying the wedding cake.
A wedding cake is one of the highlights of the Toronto wedding reception, not just the cutting but also the display. Your wedding cake is going to be the center of attention at the reception (apart from the bride and groom of course) and thus needs to be displayed properly.
Tips for Wedding Cake Display:
Wedding cakes are usually displayed right from the start of the wedding reception and cut towards the end. Depending on how long you expect the reception to last, the wedding cake could be on display for a considerable length of time. To ensure that the cake holds up for the duration, make sure that the filling used in the cake will not cause it to go bad. The frosting on the wedding cake should also be such that it does not melt or crumble before it’s time to cut the cake. The key is to get a reliable bakery in Toronto that will deliver the cake to the hall and display is properly.
Display the cake in a prominent location such that it does not hinder movement. The wedding cake should be visible to your guests but not placed where they may accidentally knock it off.
Remember to add some special lighting for your wedding cake. A spotlight to focus specially on the cake is a great way to make the wedding cake display look smashing. But make sure that the light is not harsh enough to cause the icing to melt. A prominent Toronto banquet hall should be able to hold a cake in place.
Never display your wedding cake close to the dance floor. Enthusiastic guests may end up too close to the display, especially during a fast song, and you know what can follow.
The size of the table for the wedding cake should be according to the size of the cake. It should neither be too big or too small. The table should be covered with a beautiful table cloth, and you can then use flowers, garlands, and sprays to decorate the table. Layering the table with tulle is another way to give the display a fuller and more wistful and magical look.
So in the end, choosing the right Toronto bakery to make and decorate the right cake for your Toronto wedding is important because next to the bride and groom, the ckae should shine!

There is no better way to send off your friend or sister into the wonderful world of marriage than through a bridal shower. Just like any kind of shower however, a wedding shower cake is an important part of the occasion. Treat the bride to be to a special wedding shower cake with these ideas.

Everything on It

Make the bride’s wedding shower cake an extravagant piece. A wedding shower cake doesn’t need to be multi tiered so you can easily spend for a luxurious one layer cake. Top a fruitcake or a cream-filled chocolate cake with fresh fruits, nuts and colored shavings or go for a real berry filled and topped wedding shower cake. Experiment with a variation and combination of different high grade fresh fruits for a delicious and healthy wedding shower cake.

Message Cake

Bake or buy a plain triple tiered chocolate or sponge cake. Equip your guests with icing tools and let them leave their sweet messages on the bride’s unique wedding shower cake. Present the bride with this surprise wedding shower cake as she opens her shower gifts.

Groom Message Cake

This is a variation on the message cake. Buy a plain cake and write the groom’s special icing message for his bride on the wedding shower cake. Pick a message that is significant for the couple or ask the groom to draft a special note.

Picture Cake

Go to your local bakery and have the bride or the couple’s picture transferred in icing on the shower cake. Pick a close up picture with less small details for great visual results. Top with well wishes.

Piñata Cake

Save the real cake for the actual wedding and get a piñata cake instead for a fun game. Hang this inedible wedding shower cake and ask the future bride to do the honors of showering the guests with some sweet treats.

Fake Cake Centerpiece

Another inedible wedding shower cake idea would be a rolled cloth or rolled tower centerpiece decorated with ribbons and a topper. Have special messages, gifts or cash rolled along with each cloth piece and ask the bride to carefully pick and unroll her wedding shower cake apart during the gift opening session. You can also stack plastic baskets filled with gifts and home items for the bride and her new home. Decorate the baskets with traditional wedding cloths like tulle and satin ribbons.

Cupcakes

Instead of real cake layers, serve a wedding shower cake tier of cupcakes, muffins and cheesecake. Sprinkle each cake piece with colored candies or chocolate shavings and decorate with a topper.

Humor Cakes

If the future bride is going to have an ultra formal wedding with no room for some humorous fun, then the bridal shower is the best event to bring out unusual cake toppers. Share the gift of humor by decorating the different tiers of a wedding shower cake with humorous cake toppers like a shackled groom or a bride dragging her prized conquest. Have a variety of toppers and let one or two fun loving guests give a descriptive narration of each topper.
